About this Project
Summary
The North Quincy Station redevelopment project, better known as the Abby, is named after Quincy resident the late Abigail Adams, the wife of the second President of the United States.
The Abby is the largest single building ever framed by Shawnlee. The total area of wood-framed levels is just under a staggering 600,000 square feet.
When this project is completed, it will feature three buildings with 610 high-end apartments and 50,000 square feet of retail space, and an above-grade garage with more than 1,500 parking spots, of which 852 will be reserved for commuters.
Residents will have access to many luxury amenities, including two outdoor courtyards, a pool deck, a club lounge, a commercial kitchen, and a fitness center with yoga and spin classes.
As reliance on public transportation grows, The Abby is conveniently located adjacent to the North Quincy MBTA train station for easy access to Boston and surrounding cities and towns. This trend of locating massive housing projects near public transportation hubs allows residents to live outside the city without sacrificing quick and easy access to all that Boston offers.
This project is overseen by Callahan Construction Managers, based out of Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
